Surrounded by the pure Tuscany atmosphere, you will reach the Congress Palace, Fortezza da Basso (main exhibitions centre) the cathedral and the most important Florentine museums and churches in a few steps. All rooms have private bathroom with hair-dryer, direct line telephone, satellite television, safety deposit box, mini bar and air conditioning. We have a lift and we provide our handicapped guests with two special rooms. Enjoy your buffet breakfast in our comfortable breakfast room on the first floor or in the pretty terrace, surrounded by Cotto and Pietra Serena the original materials of Tuscany. Hotel Sempione provides its guests with an internet service in the hall, bar, outside garage and laundry service. All our staff that speaks fluently English, French, German and Spanish will give you good suggestions to find your favorite restaurant, to book excursions in Tuscany and Italy, theatres, opera, train and plane tickets. Our rooms are furnished in the classical style with parquet floors or Florentine cotto. The hotel has a lift and 2 rooms designed to suit the needs of handicapped guests.

Travel information

By car: Coming by motorway from the North of Italy you have to exit at Florence North and follow the signs for the central train station. Once reached Fortezza da Basso (main exhibitions Florentine centre) you have to turn around and through Viale Spartaco Lavagnini, at the first traffic lights, turn to the right, through to S. Caterina d'Alessandria street. Keep going straight ahead and past the square, and the street becomes Via Nazionale. After 300 meters you will find our Hotel on the right side, at the corner with Faenza street, at number 15 (black colored number). Coming by motorway from the South of Italy you have to exit at Florence South and follow the signs for the central train station or Viali/Circonvallazione until Libertà square. Once you have reached it, you have to catch Via Lorenzo il Magnifico. At the first traffic lights turn to the left, across Viale Spartaco Lavagnini and through to S. Caterina d'Alessandria street. Keep going straight ahead and past the square, the street becomes Via Nazionale. After 300 meters you will find our Hotel on the right hand side, at the corner with Faenza street, at number 15 (black colored number). By foot: You can easily reach our Hotel in three minutes by foot, just following these instructions: in the main train station of Santa Maria Novella in Florence there are two exits, leaving the train platforms on the back you have to exit from the left hand side, across the street and go to the right until the corner, then turn to the left in Largo Alinari street. Keep going straight ahead and walking on the left side, after a few meters the street becomes Via Nazionale and you will find our Hotel at number 15 (black colored number).

If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
